Never bring a knife to a gun fight, or don’t break into this guy’s house unless you feel your body is lacking in holes:
A grandfather wants to know why two burglars kicked in his door, holding knives. The 57-year-old man didn’t question grabbing his gun and quickly firing at the masked men. He asked KSPR not to show his identity in case someone wants to retaliate.
In his house on East Calhoun, he says you won’t find him without “Roscoe,” his .357 Magnum.
“‘Roscoe’ came to the rescue,” the man said. Around 11:15 p.m. Wednesday, he was babysitting his two-month-old grandson. He says he heard rustling at his back door.
“As I picked up my firearm, men in all black with ski masks and a knife kicked in the front,” he said. “I put a couple rounds in him.”
The 57-year-old says another man with a mask came in next. “I shot at him too and he stumbled sideways out the front door screaming,” he said.
He says the first burglar, who was hit twice in the chest, ran for the back door but it was locked. “I cleared the bedroom and realized he jumped out the top window,” he said.
The man says during the fight a bullet hit the wall and another nailed the microwave. “I hope I didn’t kill anyone but there is someone walking around with lead in them,” the man said.
I know it says it above, but it bears repeating. This grandpa was at home with his two month old grandson. The guys who busted into the house had knives. What happens to the kid if grandpa gets stuck and dies? Does he get kidnapped? Does he get left alone? Do they burn down the house and kill the kid?
We don’t know because the Framers understood how important private gun ownership is to the safety of the people.
Because of that, grandpa and his grandson are alive, and the bad guys are perforated.
