I’m not gonna complain that it’s about 25 years late, but it is good to see happening none-the-less:
Today the feds will announce a huge nationwide crackdown on illegal immigrants, especially gang members.
The goal is to take some of the more violent illegal immigrants off the streets.
Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff says the crackdown serves as an example of how important the issue is. “For many years, the way we dealt with illegal immigration was we paid political lip service to toughness. I think we’ve got to show the public that we are serious about enforcing the laws.”
Gee, ya think? I wonder what gave him that idea?
