Government To Tighten Up Military Exports

From the “Better Late Than Never” files…
The Justice Department said the United States will tighten monitoring of export licenses and increase export restrictions on technologies that could have both civilian and military applications and could pose a danger to U.S. national security in the hands of terrorists or potential enemies.
“China and Iran pose particular U.S. export control concerns,” the Justice Department said in a statement issued Thursday. “Recent prosecutions have highlighted illegal exports of stealth missile technology, military aircraft components, naval warship data, night vision equipment, and other restricted technology destined for China or Iran.” [source]
Apparently, some of the parts that are being illegally exported are for the F-14 “Tomcat”. Iran is the only country in the world still flying them.
Considering that Iranian special forces are directly involved in helping our enemies kill American Soldiers in Iraq, selling them parts to fix their military equipment seems like it would be treasonous. I want to know what American is still selling military equipment to Iran. They need to meet a firing squad.
