In a poll conducted by Democracy Corps* (pdf), it is clear the glaze is wearing off of the eyes of many and they are starting to see President Obama as so many of us saw him.

Via Jim Geraghty:
When asked about “a socialist,” 33 percent of likely voters say it describes Obama “very well,” 22 percent say “well,” 15 percent say “not too well,” and 25 percent say “not well at all.”
In other words, 55 percent of likely voters think “socialist” is a reasonably accurate way of describing Obama.
Aside from those who understand the negative image Obama would get from being identified as a socialist and voting against calling him that, I can only assume it is a combination of ignorance and apathy that keeps people from seeing him for what he is.
There hasn’t been a clearly advocate for Marxism in the spotlight for quite some time.
The good thing is, a majority of people see it. The bad thing is some of those folks like it.
