Thompson Hires Midwest Direct for Campaign

Senator Fred Thompson has hired Andrew Dorr as his Midwest political director. Door will be responsible for Iowa, an important caucus state in the presidential election.

Dorr, 28, served as political director of Jim Nussle’s unsuccessful campaign for governor of Iowa in 2006. Nussle was nominated last week by President Bush to be Director of the Office of Management and Budget.

Dorr started in Iowa caucus politics in 2000 as deputy Midwest political director for President Bush’s presidential campaign.
