Libs Stay Classy, Launch “F*ck Tea” Campaign

I’m not sure, but I think we can thank our potty mouth Vice President for inspiring the latest progressive campaign against the Tea Party. Rather than debate the merits of free market capitalism vs. a centrally planned and heavily regulated market or a progressive income tax system vs. a consumption tax system like the Fair Tax, the left has chosen a more base and juvenile tactic.

Agenda Project, a new, progressive group with roots in New York’s fundraising scene and a goal of strengthening the progressive movement, has launched the “F*ck Tea” project, which is aimed, the group’s founder Erica Payne wrote in an e-mail this morning, “to dismiss the tea party and promote the progressive cause.”

“”We will be launching new products in the next several months to help people all over the country F*ck Tea,” Payne told POLITICO. “Products like a Glenn Beck Bowl Buddy (Beck B Scrubbin) and others are perfect holiday gifts or just a great way to say, ‘I love you and our country’ to your spouse, friend or family.”

Payne, a veteran consultant to progressive groups, is a co-founder of the Democracy Alliance, the low-profile group of liberal mega-donors who helped build the Center for American Progress and other new organizations that grew in the Bush years.

Here’s a look at the progressive t-shirt sure to win over the hearts of minds of the average American who reads it at the supermarket:

Liberalism.

Because there aren’t enough inconsiderate jackasses wearing inappropriate t-shirts in public.

I'm surprised some potty-mouthed tea partiers haven't come up with that. the original tea party, when they dumped it over the side of the ships, was quite honestly saying "f*** tea and it's taxes". At the same time, the tea parties to this point have been infinitely more classy than that, and it really does NOT surprise me that this kind of trash hasn't come up.

The Tea Party is the pet rock of this decade. It will fade.

Somehow I think the need for the Tea Party will only continue to grow in the coming years. Obama/Pelosi/Reid are certainly giving them plenty to be upset about. When things continue to go from bad to worse, I think more and more people are going to get their fat lazy butts off the couch and decide that they're tired of big government screwing things up.

I don't agree with you, Mark. I think the Tea Party is going to continue to expand with or without the approval of the people who are counting on the inattentiveness of the American public.
