There is a lot of outrage over a Florida church’s plan to burn the Koran this Saturday on the anniversary of the September 11th attacks.
In Jakarta, there were protests by thousands of Muslims who carried signs saying, “Jihad to protect Koran” and “You burn qu’ran you burn in hell.”
In Afghanistan, protestors chanted, “Death to America.”
Malaysian Muslims are planning a protest if Rev. Terry Jones goes ahead with the plan to burn the book.
And we are supposed to care if this man in Florida upsets the Muslim community around the world.
Well, pardon me if I don’t care.
Muslims have been doing far, far worse without concern for centuries.
You need examples?
No problem. Muslims burn Bibles all the time. Usually when they burn down the churches they are in. Killing the members with machetes drew no worldwide outrage either:
Muslims attacked a Christian village in central Nigeria on Saturday, axing eight people to death and burning seven houses and a church in fresh religious violence, an army spokesman said.
“It’s true eight people were killed,” Lieutenant Colonel Kingsley Umoh said.
An AFP correspondent saw the bodies, as well as the burnt houses and church in Mazzah village, near the city of Jos, where deadly religious clashes have occurred a number of times in recent months.
Umoh said Fulani Muslims entered Mazzah between 1.30am and 5.00am local time, shooting sporadically in the air to lure sleeping residents outside their homes.
“Seven people were killed instantly with machetes while three others were seriously injured. One of them died on the way to the hospital,” he said.

In January, Muslim religious leaders and Sheik Sultan asked Masih and his family to convert to Islam. Masih and his family refused to convert and informed Sheik Sultan that they were going to quit working for him. The Sheik became furious and warned Masih that he would kill him if he quit. Masih told his family and friends about the entire incident. Christian leaders tried to persuade the Sheik to let Masih and his family leave his house.
On March 14, Sheik Sultan`s house was robbed. He filed a case of theft of 500,000 Rupees ($ 5,952) against Martha. After taking them for questioning, the police assaulted Masih and raped Martha. Two days later, Sheik Sultan told the couple that he would ask the police to release them if they converted to Islam. The couple refused to recant their faith.
On March 19, Masih was set on fire in front of the police station. At the time, three Muslim religious leaders and three policemen were present at the scene. The perpetrators have not been identified.
But Allah forbid we burn the Koran. That would be offensive.
What about the beautiful Christian girls who were beheaded for the simple fact they loved Jesus?
THREE Christian high school girls were beheaded as a Ramadan “trophy” by Indonesian militants who conceived the idea after a visit to Philippines jihadists, a court heard yesterday.
The girls’ severed heads were dumped in plastic bags in their village in Indonesia’s strife-torn Central Sulawesi province, along with a handwritten note threatening more such attacks.
The note read: “Wanted: 100 more Christian heads, teenaged or adult, male or female; blood shall be answered with blood, soul with soul, head with head.”
Where was the outrage over that? Want to see? Here, look at this:
I took that screenshot this morning. There were no reported protests for the trophies gathered in Indonesia, the most populous Muslim country in the world. There’s no report of any Muslim protest over any beheading, any place, any time, anywhere, ever.
And I am supposed to care that a man in Florida is planning to burn a book?
I could care less. Let him.
