Well, they had better do something to get these Northern terrorists in check, or Turkey will:
While the use of U.S. soldiers on the ground to root out the PKK would be the last resort, the U.S. would be willing to launch air strikes on PKK targets, the officials said, and has discussed the use of cruise missiles. But air strikes using manned aircraft may be an easier option because the U.S. controls the air space over Iraq, the officials said.
Another option would be to persuade the Kurdistan Regional Government, which runs that part of Iraq, to order its pesh merga forces to form a cordon preventing the movement of the PKK beyond its mountain camps
I don’t blame Turkey here at all. If I was Turkish, I would be demanding retaliation for the attacks on Turkish military members. And I would be even more mad if nothing was done because America said not to do it. These are terrorists. I would hate to think that the U.S. was protecting them. I would make it clear to the Kurdistan Regional Government that either they get it under control, or someone will.
