Kansas Woman Gets Death Penalty in Missouri For Murder of Bobbi Jo Stinnett

I remember where I was when I heard this happened. There is a good reason for that but I won’t go into it. This woman killed a woman by cutting her abdomen open and tearing the baby from her womb. She then drove the baby back to Kansas, where she tried to pass it off as her own.

The killer, Lisa Montgomery, has been found guilty and sentenced:

After almost three years a small-town murder that became nationally known is solved and a killer learns her likely fate, death by lethal injection.

“We will never stop missing Bobbie Jo. She was a sweet loving wife, daughter and sister,” said Bobbie Jo’s mother, Becky Harper.

The jury recommended (Lisa) Montgomery be put to death. When the verdict was read she cried quietly and shook her head in affirmation.

This woman was crazy, right?

No. If she was crazy, she wouldn’t try to hide what she did, because she wouldn’t know it was wrong. People want to dismiss such vile and evil acts as crazy because it makes them feel better about what happened. This woman wasn’t crazy. She’s selfish and evil.
