World’s smallest horse visits hospital patients

By Sara Lester • Nov 2nd, 2007

Here’s a feel-good story for you. Not only are the horse and her owner cheering up the children, they are raising money for children’s charities- people are giving their own money to help these children because they want to do so, not because the government is taking it and “re-distributing” it. And it brightens the lives of everyone involved.

mini-horse.jpgPatients at the Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children received a much-needed diversion this morning when Thumbelina, the world’s smallest horse, paid them a visit.

Thumbelina is just 17.5 inches tall at the shoulders and holds the official Guinness World Record for the smallest horse ever recorded.

Thumbelina is currently touring the country visiting sick children and raising money for children’s charities.
