Senate Hangs Military in Iraq Out on a Limb; Adjourns for Turkey and Cranberry Sauce

What a bunch of dirtbags. Harry Reid and the liberal Senate Democrats are more loyal to the MoveOn.org crowd and the maniac CodePink nutjobs than they are to the United States of America and the military. Rather than fund the War in Iraq without surrendering when we are winning, they adding a bunch of ridiculous conditions to the bill, knowing it was doomed. These liberal morons knew the bill would probably not make it out of the Senate, and if it did, Bush would veto it. They are putting our military in a dangerous position, for the sake of politics. There is little to no bad news coming out of Iraq. As a matter of fact, it is a flood of good news. But Harry’s agenda is to hurt George Bush, regardless of the facts or who else gets hurt in the process. They could have funded the troops, but their agenda got in the way:

Democrats squashed a war funding proposal offered by Senate Republicans that would give $70 billion to President Bush to continue operations in Iraq and Afghanistan — without strings attached to get troops out of Iraq.

Senate Democrats argued today that war money should be tied to troop withdrawals because the Baghdad government has not taken advantage of the security provided by U.S. forces.

Did they ever think that our Congress isn’t taking advantage of the security provided by U.S. forces. There is so much improvement in Iraq right now, but the Dems can’t have that. It would hurt them terribly if there was success in Iraq. They must secure defeat. And they are doing it over Thanksgiving dinner. It makes me sick.

Here’s how the votes went down:
