How to Covertly Build a Universal Health Care System by Tom Vilsack

One time presidential candidate Gov. Tom Vilsack has pretty much said that the S-CHIP bill we called a step towards universal health care is a step towards universal health care. He was speaking at Drake University which is in Des Moines, Iowa, on November 16, when he said the following:

“I think there is going to be a commitment to universal coverage. I don’t think it’s necessarily going to be a sector by sector process. I think you either need to go in whole hog or not. We tried to sort of squeeze the middle here with doing children and doing seniors, and trying to squeeze it. If anything happens, it would more likely look something like this: you would extend eligibility for children from 200% of poverty to 300% of poverty, and create resources to insure the parents of those children.”

That sounds like S-CHIP to me. They are slowly trying to get parents to turn away from personal responsibility and towards dependence on the government. When the parents turn, then the children will probably turn. Then, the health care systems turns to socialism.

I have made the point before that Americans do in fact have a right to affordable health care. But they also have a right to a gun. The problem lies in how socialists have changed the definition of what a right means.
