This Man is No Marine. He is a Disgrace.

John Murtha. A little bit of bile jumps into my throat just typing his name. First, he calls the Marines cold-blooded killers, and doesn’t have the spine to even say he’s sorry when they are exonerated.
Now, he has told the enemy we can’t win:
“Look at all the people that have been displaced, all the [lost] oil production, unemployment, all those type of things,” said Rep. John P. Murtha, chairman of Appropriations defense subcommittee. “We can’t win militarily.”
Now I know what you leftist surrender monkeys out there are thinking. It’s too easy. It goes something like this:
Oh, well he’s not saying anything bad about the military. He’s saying the Iraq government is the problem. He’s saying there needs to be a political solution.”
Shut it. First of all, this is from the same party that told us the surge wouldn’t work. If fact, Harry Reid called it a failure before it even started. Brilliant. Now when it is working, you useful idiots want to flip the script and say “It isn’t working politically, so the whole thing is a flop. Pack up, let’s go home.” Sickening.
Did you people ever stop and think that maybe we have not seen progress politically because there has been people like John Murtha and Harry Reid over here declaring that the war is lost? If you were an Iraqi politician, would you feel safe when the only thing between you and a certain death is fighting Congressional Democrats as hard as al Qaeda terrorists? These Iraqi politicians know that the Democrats want to force Bush to withdraw the military. Did you ever stop to think how you’re behavior is contributing to the lack of political process, Rep. Murtha? Did you ever stop and wonder how many members of our military died because your words fueled the terrorist belief that we would quit if things were too bad? Did you ever look in the face of a Marine and tell them they failed?
Or is that not included in the MoveOn.org Talking Points Bulletin?
And, for what it is worth, if we were so inclined, we could easily win this conflict in Iraq militarily. But it would be a bloody, brutal slaughter with no Iraqi cooperation. We could just put them back under the thumb of a dictator. We prefer them to own their democratically elected government.
Stop helping the enemy, Democrats. It’s disgraceful.
