It’s Thanksgiving here in the United States and I have a great deal to be thankful for this year. I thought I’d step back from the political stuff for a couple of minutes and share a few thoughts.
First and foremost, I am very fortunate to share my life with a wonderful and amazing woman that I have been glad to call my wife for over ten years now. I believe that without her companionship and support my life would be pretty empty. In all honesty, I give thanks for her every day.
This is our first Thanksgiving with our adopted son. The boy has been a source of both joy and frustration, and I’m glad we were able to bring him into our family. Having a son is one of the greatest experiences of my life, and I’m glad it was this little guy.
I’m thankful that I was born in a country where I have the freedom to do just about anything I can dream of. I’m happy to have the freedom to speak my political views without fear. I’m thankful that I have the freedom to practice the faith of my choice, or no faith at all, without fear of being persecuted or killed for my beliefs.
There are so many things I have to be thankful for this year, and I bet some of you are thankful that I don’t list every one of them. But I would like to say that I am thankful for and humbled by the amount of success that we have had with All American Blogger in such a short time. I am thankful that you have taken the time to read what we write, and I hope it has given you a slightly broader perspective on the world. Thank you so much for that opportunity.
Comments are open. I hope you will tell us what you are thankful for this year.
Have a truly wonderful Thanksgiving.
Andrew
