According to the Minister of Canada’s Multicultural Affairs, the Festival of Lights celebrates the Jewish triumph over tyranny in the year 1,998,000.

A news release issued yesterday by Jason Kenney, Secretary of State for Multiculturalism and Canadian Identity marking the start of the Jewish celebration of Hannukah last night states the festival “marks the triumph of the Jewish people against tyranny more than two million years ago.”
The historic events marked by the holiday occurred between 167 and 160 BC, or just over 2,000 years ago.
This is no accident. This is obviously a Zionist plot to revise history to benefit the Jews. I’m certain of it. Well, I’m certain there is some knucklehead out there somewhere that is probably thinking that, maybe even blogging on it and meaning it. Me? I just think it’s funny that the Minister of Multicultural Affairs screwed this up.
