Some links for the weekend
  • In November, Ban Ki Moon, Secretary General of the United Nations visited Antarctica. Things there were grim and needed attention fast.
  • “While Antarctic Ice is at near-record levels…” Of course, the Southern Hemisphere is actually cooling. And the warming in the Northern Hemisphere might just be…natural.
  • Gun violence increased in Washington D.C., despite that city having strict gun control laws. Makes sense.
  • The New York Times says that Mike Bloomberg is “growing increasingly enchanted with the idea of an independent presidential bid.” With his gun grabbing history, it would only hurt the left.
  • For all those who think government run health care is the answer, consider this. In Britain, it is a two year wait…for a hearing aid.
  • There are still those advocating the return of the Fairness Doctrine. Even better Freedom of the Press — Now with MORE GOVERNMENT!
  • Take a look how the 2008 candidates rank on illegal immigration. Fred Thompson is near the top.
  • The Taliban has given the Pakistani government two days to pull out its troops or face all out war. This should end well.
  • Tell me again what a boon Chavez has been for Venezuela: “In the last three months, there have been 1498 civilian fatalities in Iraq. During this same time, roughly 3000 Venezuelans have been murdered.”
  • You might want to add Krishna’s feed to your RSS reader. She is putting up some good stuff on Newsvine.
some stuff just for fun
