James Hetfield was detained in a UK airport because of his Taliban-esque beard.
The star was barred entry to Luton airport on Thursday and questioned by staff who were concerned about his appearance.
James convinced them that he was a rock star (lead singer for Metallica) and was on his way to play Live Earth. The officials let him go. Apparently they fear backlash from environmentalists more than terrorism.
A side note, I didn’t see where Hetfield called his lawyer and filed suit based on racial profiling. Maybe he gets it.
