New Hampshire Primary Results

The results are coming in for the 2008 New Hampshire primaries. It looks like John McCain and Hillary Clinton are the big winners tonight. Apparently Hillary’s carefully prepared emotional display struck a chord with voters. A McCain victory was predicted, so there’s no big surprise there.

Interestingly Ron Paul was within 3 percentage points of three of the “mainstream” candidates despite having been excluded from Fox New Channel’s most recent debate. Thompson scored only 1% of the vote, but he didn’t really campaign in New Hampshire. I’m sure he will do better in South Carolina.
