The Otto Show takes a look at Bill Clinton’s comments concerning Bush’s commutation of Lewis Libby’s prison term:
I honestly thought it was a joke at first. President Clinton, who up until that point lived up to his promise of having “the most ethical administration in history”, intervened in 182 legal matters between Christmas of 2000 and the final hours of his term in the following January (what the late Barbara Olson kindly refers to as his “last-minute clemency orgy”). Some of the pardons/commutations were legitimate, but some were questionably legal and many were viewed upon as unethical, including the infamous pardon of the Justice Departments #6 most wanted fugitive in 2000, Marc Rich, labeled the biggest tax cheat in US history and along with his wife, were big financial supporters of both Clintons.
