So says the Tennesee GOP Chairwoman:

After finishing third in the South Carolina primary over the weekend… Many wonder if he may drop out of the race before Tennessee and Georgia vote.

But Tennessee Republican Party Chairwoman Robin Smith says his Carolina finish still gives Thompson prominence, and he shouldn’t be ruled out just yet.

Smith says, “I think people are starting to ask the question, ‘Is he a viable candidate?’ I think that’s the big question, and we’ll have to wait for a couple more days I’m sure.”

He could be campaigning, or he could be with his sick mother. I’d be with my sick mother also. Stay in there Fred. It’s only January.
