Man Kills Daughter, Conceals the Murder, Gets Charges Reduced to Misdemeanor

How the Hell does this make any sense:

Felony charges against a Pleasant Dale man accused of killing his 10-month-old daughter and dumping her body have been withdrawn in favor of a misdemeanor.

Seward County District Court Judge Alan Gless has thrown out charges of child abuse and death of a child against 23-year-old Lucas Peterson. They were replaced with a lesser charge for concealing the death.

As a result, Peterson faces up to a year in prison rather than a life sentence.

His sentence was reduced because after killing the baby, concealing the murder, burying the child in a shallow grave and lying to the police, he then acted like a stand up guy and took the authorities to the body.

Pardon me, this is an OUTRAGE! You don’t kill babies. You just don’t do it. I think it is even in the Bible. “Better a millstone” and all that stuff.

A year in prison for killing a 10 month old baby. Maybe he won’t make it out.
