Hillary Takes Three of Four, Others Still Say She’s Done

By Duane Lester • Mar 5th, 2008

Hillary beat Barack in three of four states yesterday, including Texas and Ohio. She says it is enough to keep her in the race through the convention. The problem for her is delegates. Jonathan Alter shows how Hillary needs to win 16 contests in a row, and will still be trailing.

The AP says the same:

…even if she wins every contest left, Clinton still would have a hard time overcoming Barack Obama’s pledged delegate lead. In fact, her task got even harder because even though she won Texas, Ohio and Rhode Island Tuesday night, she didn’t do much to close the delegate gap - and with every contest that passes, the number up for grabs drops.

Hillary is starting to be more aggressive in her campaigning in that she is actually going after Barack. And the press is starting to do the same. It seems likely that this could go to convention and be decided there. And to think that Republicans were worried about a brokered convention. This could be very ugly for the Dems.
