Hank Dagny over at Liberal Quicksand says we’ll leave Iraq, on two conditions:
If the Iraqi government want us completely out of their nation, I’m fine with that – with two caveats.
One, if Al-Qaeda moves in, we re-enter with extreme prejudice.
Two, we expect you to be a staunch supporter of the United States and you get on a payment plan to re-pay us for eliminating your dictator.
Either give us approval for military bases in your country or re-pay us for the war.
I’d just take the money and run. No need to spend billions to set up bases in Iraq. We’ve shown we can set up camp there anytime we want.
