Medication in the UK is not too bad as payment is £7.20 unless men and women over 60 years of age; children under 16; young people aged 16, 17 and 18 who are in full-time education; pregnant women or women who have had a child in the past 12 months and have a valid exemption certificate; people suffering from certain conditions such as diabetes, epilepsy and cancer; and people (or the partners of people) who are receiving a form of government benefit income support or Jobseeker's allowance are exempt from paying.

For treating smokers and the obese when it has come to obese is it when there are surgical procedures that their weight causes too much strain on their heart when under general anaesthetic which is perfectly medical reason, they basically say lose weight to get to a point where the surgery is less risky on the person.
