you guys also forget the fact that bruce was the world boxing champion. Also, Bruce always had challenges from the BEST MARTIAL ARTISTS in the world trying to make him look like a sham. needless to say. he always won. Also, why do you think that so many martial artists respect him? because he was THAT good

Bruce actually DID compete in full contact fights. He won 3 or 4 fights in "boxing" contests between schools when he lived in Hong Kong as a youth, beating a well-known english fellow….who may or may not have grown up to have been a really good boxer; I don't recall. Also, Chuck did not teach Bruce how to kick. Bruce incorporated kicking into his arsenal as early as 1965 or so, when he began to move away from his traditional Wing Chun.

true that true that i have seen that in the streets of north philly old school guy name charlie atwell thats all he did street fight watch him fight 3 brothers one after another he won that shit was legiondary about 150 lbs pure nasty mf'r got on crack lost all that shit some guy from the prodjects name do dah tor him a new ass he lost to charlie about 5 or more time before the drugs he won the title before he got on drugs ; he keeped strong arming the young drug deallers one young boy had enough of it shot that ass up something nice

Bruce might not have fought in competitions in the U.S. but he did in highschool in China. Also Bruce grew up in street fights and after he became famous he was challenged on a weekly basis. He was a real fighter not a wannabe fighter that has a referee so no one gets hurt.
