Kucinich Hospitalized for Food Poisoning

Presidential candidate Dennis Kucinich is laid up. He caught a bad case of food poisoning, it seems.

Kucinich spokesman Andy Juniewicz said the Ohio congressman started feeling ill Sunday before flying to Florida for a campaign appearance. He became sicker in Florida, and was forced to cut the trip short to return to Cleveland.

Juniewicz said he was admitted to a Cleveland-area hospital Monday afternoon, and is being treated for “severe symptoms consistent with food poisoning.”

Wait a second. Something stinks in the state of Ohio…remember this story:

Fox News microphones picked up (Sen. Hillary Rodham) Clinton and (former senator John) Edwards discussing their desire to limit future joint appearances to exclude some rivals lower in the crowded field. “We should try to have a more serious and a smaller group,” Edwards said.

Clinton agreed. “We’ve got to cut the number. … They’re not serious,” she said, then thanked (Sen. Barack) Obama and Ohio Rep. Dennis Kucinich as they walked by. Turning back to Edwards, she added that she thought their campaigns had already tried to limit the debates and “we’ve gotta get back to it.”

Kucinich was there and was later very outspoken about the idea:

The Kucinich campaign responded early Friday morning with a news release:

“Candidates, no matter how important or influential they perceive themselves to be, do not have and should not have the power to determine who is allowed to speak to the American public and who is not,” the congressman said.

“Imperial candidates are as repugnant to the American people and to our Democracy as an imperial President.”

The Kucinich campaign said it “will immediately take steps to address the planned actions of the Clinton and Edwards campaigns.”

Maybe “immediate steps” were taken, but not by the Kucinich camp. I’m not saying he was poisoned. I’m just connecting some dots. I mean, if 9/11 was an inside job, how hard would it be to sprinkle some salmonella in Kucinich’s salmon patty? Perhaps a little left wing black ops program fired a batch of Montezuma’s Revenge into a Kucinich chimichanga. Did a dedicated socialist, knowing that Kucinich has no chance, smear a batch of botulism on the Buck-eye state bad boy’s bagel? Who’s to say they didn’t?

Hey, we conservatives need our conspiracy theories too.
