Bush: Let's Cut Funding for NPR,PBS Congress: Not so fast.

President Bush deserves some credit. He planned on cutting $420 million in federal funding to these two liberal media outlets. Well done, sir. Too bad the House put a stop to your plan:

The 357-72 vote demonstrated the enduring political strength of public broadcasting. The outcome was never in doubt, unlike a fight two years ago when Republicans tried but failed to slash public broadcasting subsidies.

Full irritating story.

*Sigh*

Sam Graves (R-MO) voted against the Lamborn Amendment.  Sam, I wish would have voted for the reduction of spending.

Here’s the roll call vote.
