The Best Global Warming Videos On The Internet – Part 2: Lectures

As I noted yesterday, all credit for the compilation goes to Free Republic user Entrepreneur. These were compiled in a vanity post as links. I wanted the actual videos, so using Entrepreneur’s list, I started embedding code.

The second part of the series focuses on lectures given by various heretics of the Church of Global Warming™. The first one is a presentation given by Australia’s James Cook University’s Geology Professor Bob Carter.

According to Entrepreneur, “Carter describes MIT professor, Richard Lindzen’s Iris Effect, which essentially makes the case that the climate is largely self-regulating through the way clouds form. Carter also notes how CO2’s greenhouse forcing is logarithmic so that there’s a diminishing marginal impact from CO2. Carter also shows the errors in the models and measurements.”

The second lecture is given by climate researcher David Archibald. In this video, you get a great look at how solar cycles correlate with global temperature. For the record, solar cycle 24 is still late, and temperatures are lower than usual while CO2 emissions keep rising.

If you watch this one, it is helpful to have a copy of the paper he wrote for the presentation.

Marlo Lewis is the next featured speaker. Some of his writings include:

He is a senior fellow at the Competitive Enterprise Institute. He describes Al Gore’s An Inconvienent Truth as “a colorfully illustrated lawyer’s brief for global warming alarmism and energy rationing.”

Dr. Tim Patterson, Professor of Geology from Carleton University is the next presenter. In this video, he uses sediment from “Effingham Inlet on Vancouver Island in British Columbia and some other BC fiords with stable sediment records” to illustrate the effect solar cycles have on the climate.

Bjorn Lomborg is on our AGW Heretics blogroll, even though he is an environmentalist. He wrote the book The Skeptical Environmentalist and is an enemy of The Church because he says things are not all that bad. HERESY! This economist studied the different problems in the world and decided that global warming wasn’t really that big an issue compared to other things, like cancer and AIDS.

Dennis Avery co-authored the book Unstoppable Global Warming Every 1,500 Years. In this lecture, he gives “a straight forward presentation with clear logical explanation of things occurring in the past and today, plus things not occurring (e.g., species extinction).”

Finally, Senator James Inhofe lectures the Senate on “one of the slickest science propaganda films of all time.”

As more lectures appear, I will try to add them here. I want this to be a resource for heretics to use for their family and friends who are believers in the Goracle. If you know of any lectures that I don’t have listed here, please send me a note by clinking “E-mail this author” below my bio.

This is part one in a series. Find the other parts here:
