Pictures of a Pregnant Palin – UPDATED

Since the leftists at Daily Kos want to declare that Sarah Palin didn’t have her last child, but her daughter did, I thought I might get some sort of evidence that she was actually pregnant.

But before I do that, I want to you consider what the left would be saying if it were the right making these types of claims…

Of course I had to check out the â€œHottest Governor in the USâ€ and quickly turned to see her pregnant
(she has since had her baby) with bags and daughter in tote.

Here are a couple I don’t have dates for:

There are three, plus an eye witness account, from the time she was carrying Trig. But leftists have never let a little thing like facts get in their way.

I expected this kind of junk from the KOS, but I was amazed at how quickly it spread and how many people jumped on this non-existent story. Thanks for posting the pictures that don't fit their slash & burn agenda.

I'm still shocked that the supposedly enlightened left would see a teenager's belly fat and a disabled baby as political fodder. Just kidding – that's exactly the kind of stuff I've come to expect. Don't say anything about Edwards though, if he cheats on his dying wife that's his own business!

This whole thing is the left equivalent of the "Obama's a Muslim" Obama's not a citizen" crap. Regardless of whether it is true or not, and whether Sarah herself is prepared for the always nasty public vetting of a major candidate, her family most certainly is not prepared for this public hanging. Those poor kids… imagine…a teenage girl having a picture of herself publicly scrutinized to determine if she is pregnant or simply a little round? I am voting for Obama, but I really feel for that family right now.

She's not a moron. If she is going to fake a pregnancy, she is going to wear a fake stomach. This is far from "proof." Of course this theory will never be proven because the only way to do that would be to have her take a DNA test which there is no reason for. Or if the doctor who helped her cover this up came forward.

When a baby is ready to be born, it drops, meaning "he's engaged deep into your pelvis, positioning himself for labor." When this happens, the belly isn't as pronounced as it was, say, just a week prior.

Plus, down syndrome children are generally 10-20% smaller than the average baby.

Since this is her fifth child, she pretty much knows what is going on with pregnancies and her body. If she thought she could make it back to Alaska, she would know.

For the record, the "lefties,…as so many people have said" are NOT the ones floating this. The media…all the media is using this for ratings. Obama has been very clear that it's off limits. But for the record, the McCain campaign is the one that came forward with this story. And frankly, I think it's completely irrelevant, but it may be that that the campaign released this on purpose….it has the media focussing on a non-issue, when we should be discussing:
1. Palin's Gross Abuse of Power, lying about it
2. no experience of even remote knowledge of Foreigh affairs.
3. no real knowledge of what VP does or not a single published or recorded record of knowledge.
4. 18 months of experience running state with smaller population than thousands of US Cities
5. knowingly risking baby's life getting on 12 hr. flight while in labor with no med. attention

The issue is either Sarah Palin has what would normally considered terrible judgment, or she is covering up something. The timeline is:
1) 4AM Friday morning Palin started leaking Amniotic fluid, Some reports say
her water broke, but when my wife's water broke it wasn't really a "leak".
2) Friday Morning Palin delivered the Keynote address at some conference.
3) Friday Morning Palin got on an 8 hour flight to Alaska, after talking to
her doctor in Alaska.
4) Friday Evening Palin drove 45 minutes from Anchorage to a small hospital
outside Wasilla (where she was mayor).
5) Trig delivered Saturday morning.

I do think this set of actions shows remarkable control if she was actually
in labor. Since the airline personnel didn't know she was in labor, I think
she was simply trying to handle a pregnancy complication and wasn't in great
pain.

It seems reasonable to question her judgment about not seeing a doctor in
Texas, and given that she is in Alaska, going to a small hospital. She knew
this was a problematic pregnancy.

Palin has been accused of abusing her power, not convicted of any crime. I can accuse you, nancyok, of being a child molester… that doesn't mean it's factual information.

If you think that the governor of ANY state doesn't have at least "remote knowledge" of foreign affairs, you've got no idea what a governor's job is.

18 months as chief executive of a state with a small population. Well, let's see here… Barack Obama has exactly 0 months experience as chief executive of anything. If that's a negative, then Obama's lack of experience should be given closer scrutiny considering he is running for President, and not for Vice President.

Your #5 point I don't know enough about to say you're wrong. But I have a strong suspicion that Sarah Palin didn't knowingly risk her baby's life. Successful upper middle class mothers of four aren't often guilty of that kind of behavior. If she was a homeless crack addict I'd be more critical of her judgment.

For the record, I won't be voting for McCain or for Obama. I just think that what you have written is rooted in ignorance, and possibly fanaticism. I encourage you to prove me wrong on either of those points. But I am glad you care enough about the future of our country to be involved, even if I think your views are goofy.

When I had my fifth baby, I leaked fluid for half a day before I knew that that's what it was. Embarrassing as it is to admit, the bladder is not as strong with #5 as it was with #1. Also, the little guy's head acted as a plug effectively covering the leak and stopping fluid from coming out until I stood up or sat down, or sneezed, or anything else that caused the baby to shift positions. Guess what…the same thing happens to very pregnant women with pee. They sneeze or move just right and a little can leak out. It says she had a leak, not a frank rupture of membranes, so it is possible that it was not confirmed what the leak was until some point later in the day.

If contractions hadn't started yet, she could have had 24 hours or more until delivery. I can't speak for Mrs. Palin, but I would have wanted my own doctor and to have the baby close to home, especially a special needs child. He could easily have spent weeks in the NICU. Wouldn't you have wanted to be closer to home if your baby might need that level of care?

I know Duane well enough to know that when he talks about "lefties" and "righties", he's not talking about political parties. The majority of Americans are good reasonable people, with the ability to look at a situation with at least some amount of objectivity. There are a very vocal number of people, maybe 10% on each side that are zealots. The zealots aren't objective, they just want what they want and will do anything they can to get it and they often hate people with opposing views. Code Pink is a good example of this. The Westboro Baptist Church is another good example.

You have a good point in that it is something to be aware of, but I can assure you that Duane isn't lumping reasonable Democrats in with the small percentage of wackos out there. If I ever find out he is lumping you all together I will personally drop kick him in the nuts.

Good posting — I think the best evidence so far is the fact that it was not a shady home delivery, but took place in a hospital in front of staff. It almost surely would have come out as being a scandal with so many people having to have been involved in a cover up.

The only thing that really bums me out, though, is the tone of the post here, with "lefties do this" and "imagine what the left would say". You understand that the left is not some hive mind, right, no moreso than the right is? Both sides are far too diverse to go around pointing fingers at the whole group. Rumors and stories like this one about Palin are spread by people who want to win over all else, people who want to laugh at others' misfortune, people who only know how to make themselves feel better by putting others down. There are plenty like that on both sides of the political spectrum.

Please, let's try to lay off the "lefties are this way" and "righties are this way" crap.

I looked into it as well and couldn't find anything. The only reason Intense Debate *should* kick out a comment is if it has profanity in it, or if it has too many links in it. We dig the VH and it blows if we're missing out on your comments. Intense Debate does have problems from time to time, but they're still the best option we've found for eliminating the spam.

When I was pregnant with my third child, I started leaking amniotic fluid. I went to the hospital immediately. After sitting there for twelve hours with nothing happening, they checked me again, told me that the bag of waters had sealed back up, which happens fairly frequently when it is a leak and not a breakage. I could have gone days yet, but instead my doctor went ahead and broke my water so that I didn't have to go home and then come back. Sarah Palin could easily have been in the same type of situation, as it is not uncommon. I normally go about two weeks overdue, so when I started leaking on my due date, I was too excited to wait. Otherwise, I may have just waited, like Sarah.

The difference is that you went to the hospital while Sarah Palin took a plane. There were no hospitals in Dallas? Arriving in Anchorage she did not go to a hospital but she drove to a tiny hospital. Most women would try to do the opposite. One might think that a 44 year old woman with a high risk pregnancy would be more informed and more careful. Can she be trusted with serious decisions if she has such a risky behavior vis-a-vis her own unborn child?

My point was that in her situation, I would most likely have made the same choice. If my doctor had decided to wait until my water actually broke instead of just leaking, I would have regretted being at the hospital for that long time.

What's wrong with driving to a tiny hospital? My hospital is so tiny they don't even have an anesthesiologist- does that speak to my judgment? I have good friends who have delivered babies at home, by choice, no midwife available, when they were considered "high-risk" by the medical field. Despite the pre-natal doctor's concerns, everything went well, and they have healthy, beautiful children. Life can't always be predicted by medicine, nor should we be tied to a hospital just because we're pregnant.

Delivering a baby with Down syndrome is not necessarily any riskier than delivering a baby without. Although they are more likely to have heart problems, intestinal problems, etc., surgery isn't usually done to correct these issues for two or three months. So she wanted to be in a certain hospital to deliver. I make an extended car trip every weekend, and I can tell you that if I were to go into labor two hours from my doctor, I would try to drive to my hospital. I may have the baby on the side of the road, and just end up with Dr. Burke for a check-up, but I would not check into a hospital where I had never seen the ob's. I'd rather give birth on my own.

The thing I find really interesting about this whole story is that liberals and feminists will get fighting mad if you question a woman's "right" to kill the baby inside her, but now they're pitching a fit because Sarah Palin made a decision about when and where to give birth to her baby.

You can't have it both ways: if it's her body, her baby, with the "right" to kill, then it's her body, her baby, with the right to choose her hospital and health care.

Get over it.

I'm not doubting that Sarah Palin was pregnant or that she is the mother of Trigg. And Bristol Palin clearly looked pregnant in the pix of her at the convention. My concern here is this: if these pictures of pregnant Sarah Palin existed, why didn't she just publish them to quell the rumors? Why did she throw her own daughter under the bus? What kind of mother would do that?
