This is another example of why my kids are homeschooled:
ANGRY parents have blasted a teacher for telling ten-year-olds to copy a Muslim prayer saying “There is no God but Allahâ€.
Helen Green is said to have picked the Muslim call to prayer as HAND-WRITING practice.
It includes the lines “Allah is the greatest†and “I bear witness that there is no God but Allahâ€.
How in the world could you justify this? Well, they were learning about Islam. Duh.
Pupil Billy Darbyshire’s stepmum Hayley Clayton said: “The explanation was that the children were learning about Islam in RE.”
What is “RE?” Any Brits that pass this way, send me an e-mail and fill me in. Do you often bear witness to Allah in RE? Is that short for “REeducation?”
I ask myself the same question I ask each time I read something like this: “How could you possibly think this would be all right to do?” It defies logic.
