The Obama campaign is accusing Gov. Sarah Palin of lying concerning her trip to Iraq. In a memo issued by the Obama camp, they said:
“Since naming Gov. Palin as their vice presidential nominee, the McCain campaign has distorted, distracted and outright lied to the American people about her record in a desperate attempt to hide the fact that a McCain/Palin administration would be nothing more than a continuation of the failed Bush policies of the last eight years,”
First of all, Bush isn’t running. Let it go. Secondly, there are people who say that she did enter Iraq. People with stars:

by asecondhandconjecture“Last summer, Governor Palin traveled to Kuwait where she visited Alaskan National Guard troops deployed to the war in Iraq at Camp Arifjen. While she was there she traveled to the K Crossing on the Kuwait-Iraq border, and a quarter mile into Iraq. According to the General who traveled with her, while she was there she presided over a re-enlistment ceremony of an Alaskan National Guard soldier. En route back to the United States, she traveled to the Ramstein Air Base in Germany. While in Germany, Governor Palin visited wounded soldiers at the Landstuhl military hospital. She then returned home. She also visited Canada, as well as Mexico for a vacation.â€
She not only visited Iraq, but she presided over a reenlistment there. She also visited the wounded at Landstuhl. Landstuhl? That was in the news recently, wasn’t it?
Oh yeah, I remember now:
LANDSTUHL, Germany – Although news outlets have reported charges that Sen. Barack Obama canceled his trip to Landstuhl Regional Medical Center in Germany because the media weren’t allowed to cover the event, U.S. European Command officials say plans were in place to allow limited press coverage.
All media, including local press and the more than 40 journalists accompanying the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee on his eight-day international trip last week, would have been able to photograph the Illinois senator entering and leaving the hospital, said Air Force Lt. Col. John Dorrian, a U.S. European Command spokesman.
The Obama Camp wants to throw stones about Palin not visiting Iraq? She at least had time to visit our wounded. Barack had other, more pressing obligations:
Obama canceled a previously-planned stop to visit thousands of American service personnel, including troops wounded in Iraq and Afghanistan being treated at Landstuhl, so he could hold a political rally for Germans and go shopping in Berlin. Now that’s a nice set of priorities for a man who wants to become Commander in Chief.
These attacks on Palin are getting more and more desperate, and each one highlights a mistake or weakness in the Obama campaign. It’s like some sort of political judo.
