Barr Ordered on Massachusetts Ballot

I guess it helps to have friends in the ACLU:

The state Libertarian party initially put a local presidential contender on its nomination papers. The party said officials at the Massachusetts Elections Division said they could substitute a national candidate later.

John Reinstein, legal director of The American Civil Liberties Union of Massachusetts, said state election officials later rejected the party’s requests to substitute national Libertarian candidate Bob Barr for the local nominee, George Phillies.

The ACLU sued and Judge Nathaniel Gorton agreed that the state rules for substituting a name were too vague and ordered Barr’s name put on the ballot.

So what does this mean to the McCain campaign? I think it means that he won’t win Massachusetts. I know, it’s hard to believe that a Barr candidacy could do that, but believe it. McCain will not win Massachusetts. Bank on it.
