Another Convicted Sex Offender Reoffends

How many times will it take before the criminal justice system realizes that there is no rehabilitating sex offenders? A woman in Rhode Island was raped by a Level III sex offender who was released from prison in April:

A 27-year-old woman told police on Sunday that a neighbor in her apartment complex had raped her early that morning, Cumberland police said in a news release. After a search, police arrested Gary Lamountain, 37, and charged him with first-degree sexual assault and breaking and entering.

Lamountain was released from prison in April after serving a sentence for rape, according to state records.

Like I said above, this sick bastard is a Level III S.O. What exactly does that mean?

Lamountain was classified as a Level III offender, the most serious designation, which means he was considered a high-risk to commit another sexual crime.

Pardon me, but maybe this guy shouldn’t be let out in public. I know, he served his time and paid his debt. But a zebra does not change its spots.

Life terms for repeat sex offenders. Capital punishment to pedophiles. Problem solved.

Oh, and none of this protective custody in prison. Remember my old maxim: You can choose the act, but not the consequences. Their victims had no protective custody.
