I have an idea for a series, but rather than write the whole thing myself and then promote it, hoping to get some attention on other blogs, I thought I’d try something else. This is a way for conservative bloggers to start working more closely together and helping each other.
I would like to create a series written by guest bloggers, cross posted to their blogs, which would build links to each guest blogger’s site.
Here’s the idea.
I write the first post, which will eventually link to all of the posts in the series and a link to the author’s blog. For example, it might read:
- Part Two: Post Title written by Joe Schmoe of Schome’s Blog
“Part Two” would be a link to the post on my site, and “Schmoe’s Blog” would be a link to the author’s blog. Each post in the series would have these links. Each guest blogger would have a link to each post and blog on their site also, in the post they wrote for the series. So eventually, your blog, if you chose to write a guest post, would have incoming links from up to nine other blogs. Plus you get the exposure on all of those blogs as well.
I hope I explained this clearly. I have a picture of how it will work in my head, and I think I explained it well, but the fact that I understand what I mean may taint that belief.
I already have a few volunteers from asking around on Twitter, but there are still a few entries available. As for the subject, I’ll discuss that with you behind the scenes.
