Here’s the plan, as described by the United Nations. The rich countries have to pony up $130 billion to give to the poor countries. The poor countries are then going to use that money to clean up their collective carbon acts.
After all, you can trust the leaders of most poor nations. You can rest assured taht money given to the by the United Nations will come with strict oversight, not that it’s needed with these trustworthy folks, and that the results will be nothing of spectacular.
The environmental group WWF International says nearly all the money paid today by industrialized countries goes toward setting up clean energy projects in poor countries. It says less than $1 billion is earmarked to help them cope with the effects of climate change.
Well, WWF, I’m still angry at you for strong arming the World Wresting Federation out of their use of WWF, so I don’t believe you. I believe this guy:
So far, Kyoto-world has paid more than €4.7 billion to eliminate an obscure greenhouse gas called HFC-23; the necessary incinerators cost less than €100 million. Most of the difference in such schemes goes to the foreign government, such as China’s communist regime.
I think “poor” countries like China and other dictator controlled regimes can do without my property. Please go away now. I have to go cut wood for my new wood burning stove. After this last winter, I’m expecting this one to be brutal.
