China Loses Weapons Grade Uranium

This could be a big problem:

Authorities said that 17 pounds of weapons-grade uranium disappeared and that a verdict in the trial of four men accused of trying to sell the radioactive material will be delayed until it is found, state media reported Friday.

The uranium was types U-235 and U-238, both of which can be used to make nuclear weapons. Prolonged exposure to the radioactive material can cause cancer.

So, it’s just a little weapons grade uranium. What’s the worst that could happen?  I’m sure whoever was willing to pay $210,000/kilogram when the asking price was just $26,400/kilogram isn’t going to use it for evil, but for good.  Right?
