This kid had a Bible in his shirt pocket. A sniper took a shot at him and, well:
A U.S. soldier shot by a sniper in Iraq said his pocket-sized Bible tucked in his shirt saved his life by stopping a bullet near his heart.
Pfc. Brendon Schweigart, 22, who is from Andover, was helping retrieve a tank in Iraq when he was hit by a sniper’s bullet earlier this month.Schweigart said the bullet stopped right where the Bible was in his shirt pocket.
“(The Bible) definitely prevented more serious injury, because if it wouldn’t have been there, it would have ricocheted off my bullet-proof plate and more than likely would have gone back into my chest, causing more damage,” Schweigart said.
Cool. Here is a video on the story.
