• Gun Control Laws Didn’t Stop These Two Murders in North Dakota

  Two people in North Dakota lost their lives. Out of the fifty states, The Brady Campaign rates North Dakota fourty-fourth in gun control laws. “No state restriction on the sale or possession of military-style semiautomatic assault weapons. Assault weapons are as easy to buy as hunting rifles.” That should be on the recruiting literature.

• Deepak Chopra Peddles Metaphysical Swill

  In the 6/25/07 edition of U.S. News & World Report, New Age luminary Deepak Chopra was interviewed about his novel about Buddha interestingly titled “Buddha”.  Though many will no doubt fawn all over this narrative in search of some new spiritual insight or revelation in much the same way as they did with “The Da Vinci Code” these past few years, however, it seems some of the answers provided by this guru renowned by millions had as much thought put to them as the titling of this novel.
• Still Waiting for Sen. Chris Dodd to Release Countrywide Documents

  Remember this?   In July of 2008, Dodd told Jesse Hamilton of the Hartford Courant that he would release personal mortgage documentation from Countrywide “in some time."  In October, he then told “The Courant’s Rick Green that he had no plans to release documents from his $800,000 in sweetheart mortgages from subprime titan Countrywide Financial.
• PETA Wants to Rename Fish “Sea Kittens”

  Seeing they had created a stupidity vacuum, PETA filled the void with this proposal.  Yes, according to PETA, fish are now sea kittens: PETA – People For The Ethical Treatment of Animals – believes calling fish sea kittens will make sea food less appealing. It wants to change the image of fish as slimy and slithery creatures by claiming they are similar to cuter, more popular animals.
