But We Support the Troops…

I have heard over and over again from liberals that they support the troops, but not the war. They do not want the image of soldiers being spit upon to blur their message that they are against American success in Iraq.

Enter Presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton. She was speaking at a liberal function, the Take Back America conference, this morning and said the following:

“The American military has succeeded. It is the Iraqi government, which has failed to make the tough decisions that are important for their own people,”

Seems like a very good way of saying, the troops are great, but the war is bad. Troops are doing great, war is not. Simple, right? She supports the troops, but not the war, like all good liberals do.

Why then, was she booed for saying that?

Click here and watch the video. The audience boos her following the above statement. They make it clear that blaming the Iraqis here is wrong. Claiming the military is successful is unpopular in liberal circles. It violates the first rule: Blame America first.
