Well, one of the performers last night was Pete Seeger, a self admitted Communist. No, I’m not exaggerating. Pete Seeger joined the Young Communist League at age 17, way back in 1936. Six years later, he joined the Communist Party.
- Bush Commutes Ramos and Compean Sentences
Posted on Monday, January 19th, 2009Breaking news folks. President Bush has commuted the sentences of Border Patrol agents Ignacio Ramos and Jose Alonso Compean. Both received prison sentences for shooting a fleeing drug dealer in the buttocks. Bush didn’t pardon the men for their crimes, but decided instead to commute their prison sentences because he believed they were excessive and that they had already suffered the loss of their jobs, freedom and reputations, a senior administration official said.
