Muslim Rapists Go Free, Woody Harrelson Fights Airport Zombies and Crowder Takes on Canada: Your Weekend Links

I’ll be celebrating Easter with my family this weekend. I hope that your Easter celebration is a happy one. If you find yourself with some time, help yourself to some weekend links:

  • China has congratulated Kim Jong-Il on his re-election as leader of North Korea.  I’m sure that was a fair election.
  • Somali pirates have taken another ship.  This time it was flagged with Italy’s colors.  William Teach at The Pirate’s Cove wonders when the Administration will even comment on the situation, let alone act.
  • Here’s a headline I don’t like:  U.S. is Weaker Than France.
  • Jimmie at the Sundries Shack is doing Saturday links.  I’m sure he has some good stuff to read also.
  • The Vatican has blocked Caroline Kennedy from being ambassador to the tiny country.  Guess they really are against abortion.  Go figure.
  • “The Obama administration, however, has taken the position that Supreme Court’s reasoning in Boumediene does not confer habeas rights to Bagram detainees. This is the same argument that the Bush administration made.”
  • In Pakistan, a group of Muslim men who gang raped a 13 year old Christian girl have been declared innocent, “despite eye witness accounts and medical evidence indicating their guilt.”
  • Chronicle of the Conspiracy has a great cartoon from 75 years ago.
  • Apparently I was wrong about Woody Harrelson being a funny actor but a nutjob.  I mean, look at this lucid defense for his “clash: with a photographer: ““With my daughter at the airport I was startled by a paparazzo, who I quite understandably mistook for a zombie,” he said.”  Wait, what?
  • American Thinker blog wonders why these stories were on every night under Bush, but are under cover when Obama’s in the White House.
  • “Andrew Klavan reveals the strategy used to silence the criticism and ideas of conservative thinkers.”

Finally, Crowder makes fun of Canadians:
