Osama bin Laden will be sporting a younger looking dark beard for an upcoming video release. His latest video is expected to be out before the sixth anniversary of the 9/11 attacks. It appears he has been getting some advice on his appearance.
One difference in his appearance was immediately obvious. The announcement had a still photo from the coming video, showing bin Laden addressing the camera, his beard fully black. In his past videos, bin Laden’s beard was almost entirely gray with dark streaks.
Bin Laden’s beard appears to have been dyed, a popular practice among Arab leaders, said Rita Katz, director of the SITE Institute, a Washington-based group that monitors terror messages.
“I think it works for their (al-Qaida’s) benefit that he looks young, he looks healthy,†Katz said.
I think it works to their benefit that he looks alive. Where has this guy been for three years? THREE YEARS! Why hasn’t he released anything else? There have been a few things you would think he would want to comment on in the last, oh, 1000 days.
If this guy isn’t room temperature, then why release video six years old? I don’t know about this one, man. I’m still on the side of this guy being deader than disco.
