Three Democrats Sentenced On Child Porn Charges, Others Awaiting Similar Leniency

There is no lower form of creature than the child predator. None.

On the fourth of May, Wade Sanders, former under-secretary of the Navy during the Clinton administration, was sentenced to 37 months in prison for possession of child pornography. He claimed he was working on a research paper, but according to police, he viewed the items often and there was “no evidence to show he was engaged in a long-term research project…”

He possessed several videos of child pornography, one as long at 45 minutes. He claims he is not a threat to children. And a therapist treating him told teh court the same thing.

Jeff Rosato, a former aide to Sen. Barbara Boxer, earned himself five years in prison for receiving child pornography. In pleading for leniency, Rosato’s attorney told the judge, “He lost everything he worked so hard to achieve up to this point in his life. Rosato is keenly aware of the consequences of his actions and the new choices he must make for himself and his future from this point forward.” Not one word about the damage he did to the child. He received the minimum sentence.

In Albany, New York, Benjamin L. Jakes-Johnson, outgoing president of the Albany County Young Democrats was sentenced to 57 months in prison for possession of child porn. Police found over 81 images on his computer showing children under the age of 18 engaged in various sexual acts. Many of teh images were of “prepubescent minors, including toddlers.”

Racine Mayor Gary Becker was arrested for soliciting a minor online, but was already being monitored because of images found on his hard drive. Police found over 1,800 sexually explicit chats on his computer and other pornography. He was charged with “attempted second-degree sexual assault of a child under 16, possession of child pornography, child enticement, use of a computer to facilitate a child sex crime, attempt to expose a child to harmful material and misconduct in office.” Although MSNBC didn’t seem to think it was important enough to mention, he was a Democrat.

He has yet to be charged, but was allowed to enter “treatment” for his sex-addiction.

Three years, five years and another five years. And treatment. For child porn.

Anyone else have a problem with this?
