Schmuck Schumer Slanders Troops, Rewrites Transcript

Chuck Schumer, (D-irtbag), said a few things on the floor of the Senate that were very disgusting for an American Senator to say.  He basically said the success that we are having in Iraq following the surge has nothing to do with the military effort or the troops.  In fact, they are incompetent.  Here’s what he said:

And let me be clear. The violence in Anbar has gone down in spite of the Surge, not because of the Surge.

The inability of American soldiers to protect these tribes from Al Qaeda said to these tribes, “We have to fight Al Qaeda ourselves.”

Now the left is always telling us they support the troops.  They support the troops.  You hear that over and over.  But this is the look behind the curtain.  Look at the support shown here.

That isn’t the worst part.  After saying that, Schumer edited the transcript of his speech and deleted the “inability” sentence.  Here is how it reads now:

And let me be clear: the violence in Anbar has gone down despite the surge, not because of the surge.

The lack of protection for these tribes from al Qaeda made it clear to these tribes, “We have to fight al Qaeda ourselves.” It wasn’t that the surge brought peace here. It was that the warlords had to create a temporary peace here on their own. And that is because there was no one else there protecting them.

Back in the day, that might have worked.  But this is the Age of Information, and YouTube says different.  A liar and a coward.  Nice choice, New York.
