The federal government gave the country a raise. That’s the line that’s being sold by both the media and the Democrat party. It’s been years since people making minimum wage have received a raise, and it is high time it happened.
These people desperately need a raise, after all. They need a “living wage.” That’s a great phrase. I’m sure it does well with focus groups.
These hard working Americans must get a raise in order to provide food for their families, put gas in their cars and pay their cell phone bills. If this raise in the minimum wage didn’t happen, they would fall even further behind and the rich would get richer while the poor continued to get poorer.
That’s the story anyway. But here are the facts.
