Mike Gravel has been featured on a podcast segment called “My Favorite Democrat.” The segment is usually putting a spotlight on a Democrat who has recently done something so stupid, or proposed something so ridiculous, that it makes me laugh out loud. I think Gravel just earned another nod:
“I am prepared to tell you that Americans are getting fatter and dumber. I have no problem saying that,” Gravel said, adding “I’ve also said that the Americans are going to get the government they deserve.”
The long-shot candidate for the Democratic Party’s presidential nomination made his provocative comments during an online candidates’ forum sponsored by Yahoo!, Slate Magazine, and the Huffington Post.
Wait…The Democrats went to a debate hosted by HuffPo? They won’t show up on Fox, but they will debate with a site that jokes about the accidental death of Dick Cheney. How far left are these candidates going to go?
The farther left, the better. Let the public get a good look behind the curtain, kids. Let them know what you are really made of so we don’t have any more socialist ideas passing through Congress.
