Behold the Swastika Laden, Brooks Brothers, Astroturfing Mob

The Democrats are scared.

It’s that simple. They are scared. That’s really the only excuse I can come up with for the way they are reacting to the American people actually daring to voice their opinions. They go to the town hall meetings. They voice their opinions. They are lied to, and they get upset.

But according to the DNC, they are not grassroots, they are wild, crazy haired mobs organized by some shadow right wing organization. No, really:

Speaker of the house Nancy Pelosi claims the people are showing up with swastikas and other such symbols:

However, Sen. Barbara “Don’t Call Me Ma’am” Boxer says the protestors are really well dressed:

Well, a group of these Brooks Bros. wearing, swastika bearing mobsters visited a town hall meeting hosted by AARP. When they rebuked some of the statements AARP made, AARP took their toys and went home (Hat Tip: Moe Lane):

Now, those don’t look like a bunch of professionally organized, upper middle class GOP operatives. Those look like some AARP members who are a little more than upset with what AARP has been doing with their dues.

Rather than publicly recognize that this is a legitimate grassroots uprising against government run health care, the Democrats are attacking the American people, calling them Nazis, calling the mobs, calling them Astroturf.

For some context, The Conservatives show how the Republicans handled protestors when they were in power (Hat Tip: Linkiest):

White House officials meet with Cindy Sheehan and other anti-war protesters:

About 70 anti-war protesters shouted “bring the troops home” from Iraq near President Bush’s ranch on Saturday, prompting two White House officials to come out to meet with mothers who lost children in combat in Iraq.

National Security Adviser Steven Hadley and Deputy White House chief of staff Joe Hagin listened to the concerns of Cindy Sheehan and five or six other mothers in a meeting that lasted about 45 minutes, White House spokesman Trent Duffy said. Duffy said Sheehan told the two officials she appreciated the meeting.

White House Press Secretary Ari Fleischer on Anti-war protesters:

I think the president welcomes the fact that we are a democracy and people in the United States, unlike Iraq, are free to protest and to make their case known,”

White House Press Secretary Trent Duffy on anti-war protests:

The American people have a right to protest, and the right of free speech is something that we’re fighting for in this war on terror, to preserve that right of free speech. So the President welcomes opinions from all Americans.

Rumsfeld stops security from removing protester:

Protesters repeatedly interrupted Defense Secretary Donald H. Rumsfeld during a speech Thursday, and one man, a former CIA analyst, accused him of lying about Iraq prewar intelligence in an unusually vociferous display of antiwar sentiment.

“Why did you lie to get us into a war that caused these kind of casualties and was not necessary?” asked Ray McGovern, the former analyst, during a question-and-answer session.

“I did not lie,” shot back Rumsfeld, who waved off security guards ready to remove McGovern from the hall at the Southern Center for International Studies.

White House Press Secretary Scott McClellan on Iraq protests:

The President talked about some of this the other day in remarks at the Pentagon. He recognizes that there are differences of opinion on Iraq and our role in the broader Middle East. Some people want us to withdraw from Iraq and withdraw from the Middle East. They are well-intentioned.

The left protests and the GOP respects their right to disagree. The right protests and the DNC maligns them in some of the more slanderous ways possible.

These are not angry mobs. If you want to see mobs, behold the left. They cornered the market on unhinged crazies who shut down events.

We just want our representatives to listen more than they preach. You know, a little representation with our taxation. That’s not too much to ask, is it?

  1. The media continues to be the problem – if they were reporting this the way the reported left wing protest the politicians could not get away with this –
I all I ask for is a little honesty from the politicians and the media. – my breath I will not hold.

Maybe they are well dressed because they are hard working conservatives whom have the fortitude and know how to work hard and care about their appearances!
Not the unkempt, old hippy look we see so often when the democrats are whining about some perceived injustice, such as having to WORK for a living!!
