When Islam Meets Nationalized Health Care

This is what happens in Great Britain under their National Health Service:

0merbuttdm1609_228×306.jpgA muslim dentist made a woman wear Islamic dress as the price of accepting her as an NHS patient, it is alleged.

Omer Butt is said to have told the patient that unless she wore a headscarf she would have to find another practice.

According to the charges, he questioned her on whether she was a Muslim and told her that if he was to treat her she would have to wear Islamic dress.

He is also said to have read out a number of religious rules to her.

He then told his nurse to give the patient her own headscarf to wear, the accusation says.

It is not known whether the woman was a Muslim.

Now I can hear what you are saying: “I just wouldn’t wear it. I’d leave.” Consider this. Under nationalized health care, there are no costs to those who cannot afford health care. It is a subsidy on health care. When you subsidize something, you get more of it. Hence, you will get more people using dentists and doctors for things they would not use if they had to pay for it themselves.

With this increase in business, and the hesitance of youth today to become doctors or dentists, you may have to take what you can get, especially in rural areas or low income areas, due to there being fewer and fewer dentists or doctors.
