MSNBC Weakly Responds to Blogger Outrage

Yesterday I wrote about MSNBC’s attempt to smear the right wing as a bunch of gun carrying racists, who are out to harm the president. Today, a spokesman for the network commented on the subject to the Politico:

An MSNBC spokesperson responded to POLITICO: “Contessa was speaking generally and not about that specific person with the automatic weapon.”

Ok, first of all, as a commenter noted, there were no “automatic weapons” at any event. The black libertarian was carrying a semi-automatic rifle.

Secondly, this is weak. Watch the video below and listen how the classify the gun carrying individuals as white.

Thirdly, they had to edit the video like crazy to keep the black individuals skin off the screen.

Here’s the video again:

They start the video by showing the black fella, then start talking about how racist these folks are.

The text on the screen reads, “Man brings assault rifle to rally outside president’s speech.”

But they are just talking generally.

What a bunch of hacks.

yeah. that’s their newest ‘big’ thing, I’ve seen. from that actress saying that the ‘teabaggers’ are racist, and it’s picking up with their small minds. we don’t understand ‘real’ anger, since we stage all of our protests, so we’ll need to find something that scares people: being called racist.
