People who know anything about Van Jones, and isn’t a far left winger, wonders the same thing: how does someone this radical pass the vetting process?
Simple. He was never vetted:
Van Jones never filled out the 63 question, 7 page questionnaire used to vet everyone in the Obama Administration that was supposed to have a Cabinet position or a high ranking advisory position in the White House. The question now would be, why not? A person in charge of $60 billion in green stimulus money is not high ranking?
My first thought is they knew, but didn’t expect the media to make a big deal about it, which they didn’t. However, they “misunderestimated” the rightosphere, especially Jim Hoft, the Gateway Pundit.
They also didn’t expect Van to pick a fight with Glenn Beck. He really hammered Van on both his radio and television show.
It is a great example of the contempt this administration has for the American people.
For this administration I’d call it more like the wetting process in a wet t-shirt contest, where they’re looking for the biggest socialists in the game.
